Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother

Story about " This is a story about a mother, two daughters, and two dogs. This was supposed to be a story of how Chinese parents are better at raising kids than Western ones. But instead, it's about a bitter clash of cultures, a fleeting taste of glory, and how I was humbled by a thirteen year old."

This a very fun book. It is a memoir of a mother. I know many people get too political of this book. Some say the author is a horrible mother or listing all right and wrong parenting method. I don't think Amy really care.

For fun, I will so remember her daughter "Lulu" call her "Lord Voldemort. The reason the book call the Tiger mother is because she was born in the year of Tiger. And myself is born in the year of Tiger, and during the book I keep thinking Amy and I have the similar view. 

One of the take away from this book is to believing one potential. What a trash take away, you might say. To completely believing oneself potential when you and the person itself has doubt is hard. When I look at the piano practice sheet the mother for her daughter and one of their weekend schedule it humble me. 

I am sure there are more take away from this. But I have to think about it because the booking is like having many mini story of Amy family, foreigner immigrant, generation decline, etc At the moment, I have to think about the story what really take away that I will remember for the future. I am excited about the booking, and like to write some review firstly. 

This is the official first book I also brought with audio version. I enjoy it very much.

Finished my first Syfy noval.

I have managed to finish my first Syfy book in English. It is much better than I am anticipated. I believed Syfy is better on movie than in book. But, I was wrong. I encourage all Starcraft fan to read it, even it isn't a new novel. It provides much more storyline detail than in the game, and all personal relationship between each characters.

Book Recommendation: The History of Many Countries in Zhou Dynasty

It's occurred around between 770 to 476 BCE. The period is as well known as The Spring and Autumn and The Warring State Period . It has about 700,000 words. (That's a lot). Actually, I made up the book name, because I double there is a English version of this book, at least an acceptable version compared with the original. It is about how Qin Dynasty ever united China.

In my opinion, this book is better than the well known Three Dynasty. The complication of the book is very board. It involves many countries, economic theory, philosophy, politic, different level of people, war, and even psychology. About characters, it has couple hundreds. They all work for different people and have different personality. Beside the history part, the book itself is also a literature. I read the book few years ago, and I plan to reread it again.
