If you remember in English class it taught you to write a paper your last paragraph must refer back to the first paragraph. I don't know many of you agree with me, but this rule sound stupid. At least, I hated this when I was young.
My first day joined cross country training, it was summer. Hot! We ran from Amino Center to River Road as warm up. Then, we did 30-40mins interval exercise, which you sprint a minute then jog two minutes. Today is the last day of cross country training for me, and we did the same exercise. It make thing of the English writing technic.
The week before, I already ran with the guy team, where still had many snow on the road. Importantly, I was ahead of Ian. I decided I should ran with the girls for my last day. Soon we started together, we got passed by the guy, and soon they were way ahead of us. I cannot not think about how grateful i am that I don't have to run with the guy today.
The run was hard. The whole time I sprinted at the front with Martha, and Christina. I got side cramb in the end, except it kind of make you feel victorious this time. Able to run with the girl top tier in the end is like passing a very difficult exam to me. Me who has not think about running with cross country before.
With the same road couple months ago, I ran so slow, passed by the girls, and when finished I was no longer able to movie. Katie and kate and me tag along walk back to Amino center. Today, we ran back to Amino center and did other 8 minutes abs together. Such a good memory.
Social embracing is overrated. It is scary to be look stupid. But, it should not stop you from what you love what you are gifted. I ran 6 miles with the guy every week at the beginning. By the time I reached 2 mile mark I already can't see those people back. I also ran 5 mile with the whole team, around the half way mark I was passed by every single member of the cross country team, and I ran the rest of the road by myself. What make me pass all these time was, I never look at myself was humanilated (the fact I was), but simple believe the answer yes that I had done my best. I sincerely hope that I will continue to run and able to find a running team in Hong Kong to join.
