July Effect / Hospital Malfunction

An interesting topic came across me yesterday. The topic is whether it is safer for us to stay out of hospital during July. They have a term for that called "July Effect". In England, it is in August. July Effect is a myth that mortality rate are highest in the year. They didn't mention whether it is safer to stay out of hospital, but it indicated that you could also get wrong diagnose and prescription during the same period. The idea of July effect is caused by new inexperienced Junior and fresh grad doctors . Based on BBC in England, mortality rates increased by 6% in August compared with the month before. These medical errors are preventable.

United States only rank 37th in the world, the bottom of industrialized countries, based on WHO (World Health Organization). The first is France. Most medical errors happened are because of mental error, blind spots, prejudice and lack of listening to patients. Some patients could have been treated with wrong diagnose for 15 years, which is very scary. I believed what you think of your body is always right. I sort of believing that (unscientific proved) human body has a high function diagnose system; it might not able to tell you what cause it, but it is never wrong.
