PR - Long Run

It longs 13.7 miles, a lot of up and down hills.
Pace: 8.9min/mile.
Weather: Warm. 42 degree in Fahrenheit. 5 degree in Celsius.

The course included running on country side road but with semi passing around, that make a lot of dust and you want to cover your nose. K-7 is narrow highway with very few side walks. It's also curvy. Not safe to run with my opinion.

I finished in 2 hrs and 2 minutes. I could have finished within 2 hours with vary of reasons. I rate it 6.5 out of 10.

TV Shows: Terminator The Sarah Connor Chronicles

Last weekend, I watched the whole TTSCC season 1 and 2. It has stunning affect, script, and audio, especially watched in Blue Ray quality. It is the BEST tv show I has seen the whole life. I cannot believe Fox TV decided not to continue season 3. The shows is kind of like T2. There is a robot sent from the future to protect John and to try stop the Skynet. It also included many mini scenes after Judgement Day. Many actions in the movie, definitely entertaining.

Life without Computer Game 2

It has been weeks since last time I wanted to play video games badly. I kind of talking to myself in the kitchen. For instance, I tried hard to find a job, I should be "rewarded" for allowing myself to play video game since there is nothing else I am interested to do . Some people don't really play any sort of video game in their life. What their life like? What they do, especially when the time you don't want to listen music, watch movie, read a book, and you can't do any outdoor activity, let say it is late. For me, It is "life changing" in the moment. It is definitely not me being myself. It feels like I've changed my characteristic, experiencing other people life. I think the nine month gaming fast has a good duration . I can't wait it's finished. I hope I can be conclusive in the moment to tell anyone that in my opinion do not play video game is stupid.

Connection with my previous job's VP

In 2008 Fall, I was working in Hong Kong after my Bachelor degree. I worked in an European construction/manufactory company. I remember my "boss", Richard, told me when the company decided expanded to Asia, they had to decide headquarter in Asia between Singapore and Hong Kong. Of course, they decided in Hong Kong. My previous job was logistic management. I monitored 15 market organizations' orders and distribution flow. The Vice President came from America, which might be why I got the job in first place.

I always wanted to contact Richard in America, because the difficult economic situation in here. I don't get to contact him until last month, the reason was I couldn't remember his last name. Until one day, I came across one of my old email backup and then I found him on Linked In. I told him that with lack of experience, I am better to use my experience in Hilti (my previous job) to my advantage, by focusing on relative area to aid my job hunt. I asked him if he and his wife miss Hong Kong. He responded yes, which was a surprise answer to me. My supervisor and me always teased about
him that he don't like Asian dessert.

He said to me with the ever growing market relations between the US and China, he also believe I will have a significant advantage if I continue working in logistics roles. I am very please. I hope it is not confirmation bias.

Graduation Party in the School Library

Why I would have a party there? Because I am kind of living there. Somehow, they always think I am very funny even I do nothing beside stare at my April screen. (April is my computer new name.)

I forgot what's in it, but delicious.

I was laughing so hard. I couldn't breath.

Katie is here. Cross Country.

Rebecca was my old classmate younger sister.

They work in library.

Cross Country Half Marathon - Atchison River Rd.

This morning weather is freezing. It was about 25 degree/-1 in celsius. My face and my finger was frozen. It was so beautiful. The sun was just about 5 degree above my eyes and was hiding behind the tress on the opposite side of the river. Katelan Cronin was running with us as well. We have above 30 people in Atchison. Bridget Carosello stopped in the middle, because she didn't feel good. Sorry for her. As usual, my ipod died on me again around 4 miles mark. Then, Karina Estee drove pass us. I hanged her my ipod. I was so grad that I don't have to run with it. My ipod is really old. It is about 80 years old in my definition (based on my expectation of ipod life span is 5 years if used carefully.) When I ipod die, I should hold a party for its funeral. The weather is sunny, few clouds, trees wilted, and with little wind. I think the fastest today finished around one hour and 10 mins. (They are superman!) Liz, our fastest girl in school, finished around 1:20. I finished at 1:48:30, which is 1 mins 30 sec faster than my optimal time.

Well. I am not in Cross Country team, but I run with them.
I "tag along" with this group when practice.
From right to left, Katie, Teresa, Liz, and Maggy. ( I hope I spelt their name right)
Liz is not in the group, but she was invited to took picture with us at the finish line.

Liz was nervous about my hand behind her would do something not nice.

This is Maggy. She was the only runner in my pace.
Liz hated this picture. She took another one, because she said I wasn't smiling.
Of course, this is the one she don't like.
He is Ian. I always think his name is very hard to get it right.
Lately, I really like upload pictures that make me look stupid.

Bridge
The river was frozen.

I wish to take more pictures with other people in the team. The guys left "early", because the slowest guy finished almost 20 minutes before me.

Movie Review: Let the right one in

The film is a Swedish movie, and was awarded for Best Narrative Featival and European Fantastic Film.
What make the film great is that all the small details that make the film very sophisticated.
I don't really want to spoil the movie. I am not saying much here.
The reason I am recommending this movie is because I think it is very hard to make a good scientific romantic movie.
They mastered the play, which make more noticeable that New Moon is a stupid American fiction that was famous because of advertisement.

My Life Couple Weeks Ago

This post should be posted couple weeks ago, I have forgotten

I was sitting in a classroom and waiting the class start. I looked at
my folder and saw my homework for last week. Then I freaked out, I
began wonder whether I hanged out my assignment last week, because the
professor had a no late HW policy. Even I didn't, it won't hunted to
try. Last week was mid-term, there were two parts. The first part was
MC; the second part was long question. Short question answer sheet you
gave to the professor; long questions we would send to professor by
mail. I almost forgot about the answer sheet before leaving the room.

The professor smiled with a questioning face and said I had your
homework last week. I just simple couldn't tell me if I could forget
the mid-term answer sheet. Joe, my professor, said I spent too much
time chasing girl. In fact, there was no girl in my life. I was so
busy already, I couldn't think if there was a girl in my life.

The Hot Body

Last week the weather was very cold, I went exercise in a gym. I did 30 mins. elliptical. When I was done, I went outside and stretched. I was outdoor about 10 mins, and I smoked. Not that I smoke, but my body was making smoke. My body was so hot, it steamed smoke under the cold weather. It steamed so much smoke even more than when I breath. It was addicting to watch your body make smoke like boiling water. I had to do it again some time, I want to make a video out of it.

Networking Error

I was in an Alumni Networking event on Thursday. The reason people go
to networking event is to expand their network and perhaps is to find
a job. However, I couldn't not notice behavior error from people. The
behavior error was once there was free time, people pay too much
attention to the "important" people, who has a good position in some
company, and spent no time to people who were there and had the same
objective as you.

What you hope and want are to expand your network and find a job. In a
short term, those "important" people might able to afford you a job
and make some necessary arrangement, but the things are people trend
to forget relationship are from both side. For example, after the
Alumni helped me to get a job, it is hardly there are anything you can
afford back, except nice greeting and a thank you card. Age
difference, work experience, and social class make different needs on
different person. Alumni and me do not speak the same language and code.

Reversely, I spent time with other students who was there probably had
the same objective as me. Our situation, similar age range, and need
will allow me to speak the same language as them, so when I speak I
can make emotion connection with my audiences. It is easier to make
friends who are similar to you than those who are not.

The ultimate goal of networking is to make friends, is not give you a
job (that come second). Networking event is the tool that give you the
opportunity to connect other people. I am not saying don't talk with
the "important" people, however don't forget the people who are
surround you.

Graduation Celebration

I want to celebrate, but my friends all are busying final.
So, I brought myself a steak and a bottle of wine.
I drank half of it and ate the entire steak.
I felt disgusting, but I think it is okay.
